Dear Friend,
You and your family are invited to participate in Indianapolis Mayor Ballard's Latino Soccer Cup 2011. There will be 2 days of soccer fun, organized by the Mayor of Indianapolis, Gregory A. Ballard, and the Latino Affairs department. Our main goal is to increase Latino civic engagement and generate better understanding of Hispanic culture citywide....and to play some futbol soccer!
All boys and girls play for free organized in small sided teams for 5-6 year olds, 7-8 years old, 9-10 year olds and 11-12 year olds. Form your own team or we will find a team for you.
Adult teams play 11v11 and the cost for a team of 18 is only $400. ($350 for early bird registrations). There will be a cash prize for the winning adult teams. Information regarding rules, regulations and how to participate are listed below.
The Mayor's Latino Soccer Cup 2011, through healthy competition, will utilize sports as a means of integration among the Indianapolis Latino community. Also, this event is an excellent opportunity to encourage respect, honesty, fairness and solidarity as esteemed values.
On behalf of Mayor Ballard,
Carlos May
Director of Latino Affairs
Office of Mayor Greg Ballard - City of Indianapolis
PS. Organize your team and mail in your registration form soon.
