Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup is a great pre-season or early season tournament. Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup offers FULL LENGTH GAMES, Academy - Round Robin four 6v6 games for U8-U9-U10 teams**, and 2 or 3 different skill levels of play for each age/sex U11-U19.    

Please attend because your teams' tournament experience promises to be one you and they won't soon forget.

  1. Experienced tournament operators.  For 15 years Pike Soccer Club & Indy Burn has hosted the best Indiana pre-season fall tournament, Pike Fest, which attracts over 250 teams annually.
  2. ALL GAMES FULL LENGTH, not just the finals. Your players will play thirty minutes more in this tournament than others.
  3. Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup offers multiple divisions per age group which ensures quality competition for all skill levels.
  4. Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup utilizes only the best referees, assigned by Indiana's best assignors Ray Sahm and Dave Howard, and offers you the best value for your money.
  5. Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup is held in two beautiful Indy Parks: Northwestway Park and the new Mary & John Geisse Soccer Complex, Eagle Creek Park.  The Parks are each a couple blocks from I-465, I-65, and I-74 on the NW side of Indianapolis.
  6. The Mary & John Geisse Soccer Complex, Eagle Creek Park is one of the finest soccer facilities in central Indiana.
  7. Discounted hotels and shopping centers are 10 to 15 minutes from the fields. 
  8. Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup is centrally located as Indianapolis is less than three hours away from Cincinnati, Louisville, Chicago, Dayton, Columbus, and Champaign.
  9. Team Manager friendly: check in anytime before first game including Friday night or at the HQ tent an hour before first game.
  10. Out of town teams will NOT have a Friday night game.
  11. Out of town teams: we've lined up special rates at close by hotels including several with pools for "team bonding experience."  No minimum hotel stay.
  12. There is a new shopping center just blocks from the hotels with movie theatres, ice cream shops, pizza and pasta and full menu restaurants, coffee shops, and a large sporting goods store (Dick's). 
  13. Full concessions on site including food, drink, kettle corn, snow cones, Indy Burn Kapsalis  Cup apparel (look for pre order sale), both brand name and non brand name apparel, soccer gear.
  14. St. Vincent Hospital Sports Performance Center trainers on site during all games.
  15. Plenty of ON SITE FREE PARKING, FREE ADMISSION.
  16. U11-U19 teams play to championship with trophy for each player and coach.
  17. Each U9-U10 player receives a trophy.

Fees: 

U9-U10 $399
U11-U12 $450
U13-U14 $499
U15-U19 $550 (plus $150 bond for U17-U19 teams)   

 

Format:
U9-U10 will play 6v6, roster size 12, 25 minute halves

U11-U12 teams will play 8v8, roster size 14, 30 minute halves

U13-U14 teams will play 11v11, roster size 18, 35 minute halves

U15-U19 teams will play 11v11, roster size 18, 40 minute halves  

Each team may have up to 3 guest players.  Trapped 8th graders should be on u15 teams.  Up to 3 trapped high school seniors may play on U18 team providing they are on the state roster (otherwise register as U19). **Out of state U8 teams play in U9 division. No U8 Indiana teams.

The Indy Burn Kapsalis Cup 2011 is named after Andy and Becky Kapsalis, parents of Pete, Dan, Whitey, Deanne, and Dean Kapsalis.  The Kapsalis family founded and ran Soccer Unlimited, the "2002 Best Soccer Store in America"  according to U.S. Soccer Federation.  Brothers Dan and Pete founded Indianapolis United Club that became FC Pride Club.  Dan Kapsalis is Pike Soccer Club Soccer Director.  The Kapsalis family founded and organized many soccer events over its 40 years in Indianapolis, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, and Michigan.
