- BB&T Bank - another special thanks to FPP Board Member Iris Jones for securing this sponsorship
At the Bronze Level:
- Raymond James Bank - thanks to Barbara Shore from Raymond James and FPP Board Member Barbara Travis for their combined efforts on this sponsorship
- Urban Trust Bank - thanks to Suzanne Seabolt, a BankOn Florida Advisory Council member, and Tara Crary - both from Urban Trust - for this sponsorship
- Consolidated Credit Counselors - thanks to Laura Campbell for her sponsoring at this level
At the Exhibitor Level:- FDIC - thanks to April Atkins for becoming an exhibitor
- Florida KidCare - thanks to Brian Kirk and his team for exhibiting
- UF/IFAS Florida Master Money Mentor Program - thanks to FPP Board Member Michael Gutter for exhibiting two years in a row
And...its' not too late to sign up as a sponsor - we have one Gold Level sponsorship slot still available ($5,000 level), two Silver Level sponsorship slots left ($2,500 level), and several Bronze Level slots ($1,000) up for grabs. Of course, the Platinum Level sponsorship ($10,000) is still waiting for the right organization to come forward and make a statement. There are also a few exhibitor booths left at the $300 level for non-profits and the $500 level for corporations. Don't delay - the longer you wait, the fewer attendees see your community involvement as they sign up for the conference.
Remember - You must be a paid FPP Member to get the Discounted Conference Rate To avoid paying a registration fee of $249--or higher--sign up now to become an FPP Member. FPP Membership rates are just as reasonable as our conference rates. Join the FPP and claim your conference registration discount. You may also join the FPP by visiting the FPP website at www.floridaprosperitypartnership.org and clicking "Become a Member." Visit the FPP's Facebook Page to Save Even More Money If you're looking to car pool to the conference or share a room at the Portofino to reduce your organization's expenses even further, post that information on the FPP's Facebook page so others can contact you and make arrangements to join you. Conference Workshop Proposals Thanks to all of you who submitted proposals for FPP Workshops - the response was great! And the content is spectacular. For example, if you want to know how to increase your exposure in the community and boost your service statistics at the same time, attend "Prosperity Plus: Business Partnerships to Improve Wealth and Health" presented by Catalyst Miami. Or to give you the fast track on how to best reach your target audience, attend "A Simple Truth About Money: The Psychology of Money and Understanding How Individuals Handle Their Money," presented by Brass Ring Productions. And you will also get many new financial education tools, a look at Virtual VITA, and tips to hiring people with disabilities-along with a whole lot more. Use this opportunity to sign up for workshops when you register for the conference. Or...if you've already registered, sign back on and choose your workshops. FPP Conference Speakers Honored When you get to the conference, please personally congratulate | |
JOSHUA WILLIAMS AND
DAVE KREPCHO

one of FPP's Conference Speakers, Joshua Williams, of Joshua's Heart Foundation, for receiving the Sustainatopia Award in April. Here's how the news release described him: "Joshua Williams founder of Joshua's Heart Foundation to receive Sustainatopia 2012 award: Sustainatopia 2012 will honor Joshua, an effervescent eleven-year-old philanthropist, for his fine work and efforts to increase awareness and to educate other children about our worldwide hunger crisis." Joshua will speak at the conference on Friday morning, June 1. Please also congratulate Dave Krepcho, President of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, who follows Joshua on the Friday morning program at the conference. Dave was also recently honored--at the Annual Feeding America Summit--where his Second Harvest SNAP Outreach Program received an award and was described as the "best in the nation and a model program" because of its high collaboration, innovation in providing the benefits service to his clients, and the program's stellar results, which generated $18 million for LMI Floridians in the past year. In addition, Dave and his team appeared on NBC's "Rock Center" with Brian Williams on Wednesday, April 25 at 9:00 p.m. as part of a story about Darden Restaurants that featured Second Harvest's trucks, drivers and feeding partners. Please be certain to pat both Dave and Joshua on the back for jobs well done.

We had a great meeting in Panama City. Congratulations to FPP Board Member Ron Sharpe and the United Way of Northwest Florida. They hosted the largest Bank On introduction meeting that has been held in Florida, possibly the Southeast. There was a wonderful response from the attendees which included 8 banks and 4 credit unions. Soon, we will have some video footage available from press coverage of the event. Keep an eye on the "In the News" section of BankOnFlorida.org. We will post it as soon as we have it!
We have some great Bank On related presentations at the conference including Ethan Geiling from CFED, a special session on "Ensuring the Success of Your Bank On Initiative", and the launch of Bank On South Florida. It will be an exciting time for Bank On Florida. I hope you will be there to join in!
