Note from VEERA's Founder |
We say that this season is the time to give, however with all the hustle and bustle, I realize that I tend to do very little of that. I find myself getting so caught up in the baking, decorating and gift buying, that I treat everything as if it is just another thing on my to do list. Yoga helps me to enjoy the celebration of it all. It gets me to focus on the moment, feel the joy and give more of myself. The point of it all is so incredibly simple, yet our mind frame makes it feel so complicated!
This holiday, be sure to take some time out for you and your mat. Your practice can help you stay in the moment and the meaning of the season.
Namaste & Happy Holidays!

Meet Sevak Tristina!
Yoga has taught me that the path to happiness and enlightenment is not actually a path at all. It is just a metaphor for the amount of time that it takes to accept ourselves and our lives exactly as they are. I spent a decade focusing on having more, doing more and being more...all the while completely losing sight of the beauty already surrounding me. Through yoga, we learn to breathe into this moment, connect with our true self, and act from that place. I feel constantly challenged, inspired, and uplifted every time that I unroll my mat. I am reminded that in those moments that I engage myself completely, nothing about the future matters and nothing in the past is holding me back. I am free to be. Exactly as I am. And that is enough.
