Holiday Respite Requests
If you will be needing respite over the holidays this year, NOW is the time to begin preparing for your use of an Assisted Living Facility. First, you will need to finalize your holiday plans so that you will know the exact dates that you will need the facility. We recommend that you begin your ALF search by contacting multiple facilities and touring them to find the best fit and availability. Each ALF has their own processes and procedures so please be prepared to fill out any and all paperwork that they require. This can be a time consuming process so please afford yourself time to collect and submit to them their required information. Share the Care, Inc. will need to be notified three weeks before your planned usage of the Assisted Living Facility of your choice. Respite usage is based on funding availability and is granted on a first come, first served basis. Caregivers that have not utilized respite this year (since June 2010) will be given preference.
If you have any questions, please contact Case Management Staff at (407) 423-5311. |

October Events at STC Downtown Orlando
- Wednesday, October 27th - Halloween Costume Party!

STC Downtown Orlando Inspires United Way Loaned ExecutiveMichael McClaffery is a Loaned Executive from Lockheed Martin for the 2010 United Way Campaign. Being a Loaned Executive is a tough job since their main duty is to ask for donations. How does he do it? When Michael has a tough day or a cancelled appointment, he visits Share the Care Downtown Orlando to recharge his batteries and his spirit. He knows that our client Franklin will be there to remind him that his fundraising has a purpose and Franklin is the face of that purpose.
Michael is not new to the United Way. He has been active in campaigns since 2000. He began his fundraising in New Mexico and has since retired to Central Florida where he continues to assist in the United Way campaigns.
Keep up the great job Michael - we will be here whenever you need us!
