Giving Thanks

Thank you to all of our dedicated customers for your continued support of Ayers Creek Adventures. Thanks to all of you our second season has been a great success and we are excitedly planning for 2012. We wish all of you a safe and happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday season. The attached coupon is our way of thanking you for your continued support. Happy Holidays.

Life on the Creek!

It is a beautiful time of year on the creek. The colors were so beautiful this fall and many trees are still hanging on to their yellow and crimson leaves.

Multitudes of migratory ducks and geese are arriving daily. Some of our favorite winter ducks include the beautiful green winged teal.

The green winged teal is the smallest of our North American ducks with a short neck and small bill. The males are easy to spot with a chestnut head with a green patch extending from the eyes to the nape of the neck.

The green winged teal is a dabbler duck, meaning they feed on the surface as opposed to diving. Their preferred habitat includes tidal creeks and marshes associated with estuaries which makes Ayers Creek a perfect winter home for the this beautiful little duck.

Come on out for one of our winter birding tours and maybe you will catch of glimpse of the green winged teal.

Pink Paddle

Thank you to all who participated in the 2nd Annual Pick Paddle for Breast Cancer. The generosity of our paddlers and our sponsors helped us to raise over $4,000 towards support and research in the fight against breast cancer. We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day this year for the paddle and party and are already looking forward to next year. A special thanks to Troy Mawyer for the great music.
