Greetings!
Our recent trip to Phoenix for the TNNA Winter 2012 Trade Show was a lot of fun. We saw many of our favorite designers/vendors return with their new designs and yarns, and had a chance to visit with many friends and shop owners from across the country. New canvases are already arriving at the shop, as are yarns and patterns from Bergere de France, Louet, Tahki, and others. Bergere's "Origin" patterns and yarns are exquisite and will be showcased in this newsletter. So, we have a lot to cover in this issue. Take a break, relax, and enjoy the photos of work completed by our customers, and what's new in needlepoint and yarn.
Linda, Margot, Jean, Lee, Pat, and Joan
***The photograph shown above is of the much talked about Mermaid Tuffet showcased at the Phoenix market. The mermaid canvases will be arriving at It's A Stitch this month! |
Chinese "Year of the Dragon" 2012 is the Year of the Dragon This design (in stock) is by Decorations Needlepoint The dragon was celebrated in ancient China as a creature of myth and legend who represented the emperor and power. It is now a symbol of success and happiness. We think of all the possibilities of creative stitching with this design.

To the Finish Line.... Sharing our customer's beautiful finished projects!
Glo Novello's version of a Judith Lieber purse. From JP Designs and beautifully stitched and beaded by Glo, this purse will be a conversation piece on one of her many journeys. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our own Pat Leopold of It's A Stitch completed her colorful version of Tony Minieri's "Stars for a New Milennium". She stitched this without the benefit of being in a class. Kudos on an amazing job Pat! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Carol Diver was the first stitcher to finish her "Charleston Garden" design, also by Tony Minieri. She did a wonderful job, as did our finisher putting all the pieces together! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Martha Spence (a.k.a "Turbo Stitcher") once again let her imagination take her on a creative color and design journey. She completed "Soul Singer" by Chico recently, and is being encouraged to write her own stitch guide for this piece. Stunning! Another finished project from Martha from last summer's Canvas Embellishment class with Tony. We can't wait to see this piece framed, and will happily take another close up showing all the wonderful stitches that brought this piece to life! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This beautiful sweater was stitched by Margot using Ripple yarn from Tahki (cotton). It is very light-weight and airy. We are all looking forward to seeing Margot wear this! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Eve Evans completed her Julie Pischke Shell Purse and we think it is stunning. Secure with a zippered closure, inside pockets for cell phone, make-up, and an attached key fob, Eve will gather lots of compliments. Great job! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
| Origin by Bergere de France
These are a few examples of the many gorgeous patterns from the Origin line of Bergere de France. Choose a pattern, and yarn, and order the exact amount you will need for your project. If you need 13 balls, you don't have to order two bags of 10 balls, and then have seven you don't need. You order exactly 13! Easy.
The two top patterns shown here are made from "Lait". The essence of softness turned into fiber from milk proteins have made a smooth yarn for pure delight on your skin. The drape is beautiful too.
In addition, Origin offers Mohair, Soya, Cashmere, Bamboo, Alpaca, Silk and Merino yarn.
Stop in to see this line and oooh and ahhh -
Ooh-la-lah!

RIBBON CANDY RUSH
Since this photograph appeared in our last newsletter, Melissa Shirley's ribbon candy canvases have been a huge hit. While the stitching is quick and fun, it's the finishing that makes these pieces. Sometimes looking at a canvas, we cannot imagine how it would look finished. We are so lucky to have the best finishers in the country finishing your work. We have just received another box of candy for your stitching pleasure from both the pink and the red series.
