3 dimensional monkey
Isn't he adorable? This is one of the latest finished needlepoint pieces we wanted to feature, stitched by our friend, Judy Di Carlo in Massachusetts. This three- dimensional monkey had more than 30 different canvas pieces to stitch before being sent to our finisher to be sewn together. Judy created him with a variety of stitches and threads. This heirloom will be joining a number of other three- dimensional figures Judy has stitched for family members.

We also would like to feature a stocking another good friend and customer, Linda Farone, stitched for her daughter, Hillary. We all agreed that it was not only stitched beautifully, but the finishing was perfect!

Knitting News!
New colors of Cha-Cha yarn from Trendsetter have arrived - eggplant, rich red, ivory, black, camel, vibrant green and several variegated colors. Cha-Cha has been one of the most popular new yarns for the fall and winter seasons. Lots of customers are busy knitting with this yarn making Christmas gifts. It knits remarkably fast.

Many more new yarns will be arriving at It's A Stitch in October, so stop in to check them out. We also have scarf and shawl kits which would make lovely gifts for those special people on your list - or knit one for yourself!

Remember our soldiers far from home by knitting helmet liners. We have the yarn and the pattern in the shop.

Left-over yarn? Yarn Remnants? Yarn you no longer want?
Stop by It's A Stitch and donate your unwanted yarn (any kind, any color, any weight).  It will go to the Service to Veterans Committee of the DAR (Eliza Lucas Pinckney Chapter) to make afghans and lap robes for our country's veterans who are in care at the Ralph Johnson VA Hospital in Charleston, and in Victory House VA Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC. Help our veterans, tidy your closet, and bring your yarns to us, or call Ellie Burnaford at 768-8607 to arrange pick up.

Greetings!

On October 15, we MS witcheswill celebrate our 7th Anniversary and we celebrate all of you, our wonderful customers and friends who have helped make It's A Stitch a success. Nothing excites us more than seeing that spark ignite in so many of you as you have created beautiful knitted projects and stitched canvases with enthusiasm while learning new stitches to bring them to life. We have met people from all over the world during these past seven years who have become our returning customers, students and friends. Thank you all for your continued support. We appreciate each and every one of you.

We're slowly adding more stitched birds from Labors of Love to our ornament tree. Joan stitched the cardinal using Tony Minieri's Stitch Guide, and Linda stitched the Christmas bird also using one of Tony's Stitch Guides. We have so many more in stock and hope to add more birds in the months to come. Everyone loves to stitch them - they are unique and almost all have custom stitch guides. You can keep these birds on display the entire year.

Fall is in the air - and we love it! We sweltered with more than 90 days of temperatures above 90 this summer. What a relief to be outside to enjoy taking bike rides, or walking the beach in the late afternoon. We hope you have a wonderful October too, and that you will stop by to see us soon.
Until later,
Linda, Margot, Jean, Pat, Lee and Joan
