It's A Stitch of Charleston, SCSeptember 2010
Greetings!

September... a month with changes in the air! It's hard to believe that summer is coming to a close. We thought we would never see an end to 90+ degree weather here, but we have been teased with just a few days of lower humidity and temperatures. Can autumn be far away? Children have returned to school, those Christmas catalogs are flooding our mailboxes already (and putting un-do pressure on us), and the pumpkins are ripening in the fields. Fall is beautiful everywhere. It is almost everyone's favorite season.
We have some new things to share with you. We hope you enjoy seeing a few of the new yarns arriving weekly, as well as wonderful new canvases, some with glass ornaments to match, photos of recently finished projects, and much more.

Hot off the press! Many of you have waited and now it is finally ready! The Stitch Guide for Linda's version of Melissa Shirley's Mermaid canvas has been written and is available for purchase. If you would like the kit, including the Stitch Guide, give us a call.

Just look at Peg Clark beaming with her finished "Mystere" project! She did such a beautiful job. Way to go Peg! She is holding her canvas the way she will have it framed, which we thought was a terrific idea.

Margot's latest finished project! Talk about Sponge Bob, Square Pants...this square-bodied Santa elf has a stitch guide by Shear Creations. It was a fun piece to stitch, and didn't take long at all.

WOW!
The response to Pischke Pockets has been amazing! As soon as the first kits arrived, they flew out the door. We ordered lots more, and barely got the box open and people were taking home their favorites. We have more in stock and can order any of the designs you see on the Pischke Pockets web site. The kit has the large, colorfully striped carpet bag, the canvas (on 12 ct. large mesh), and all the yarn to stitch the project. It's fast, and when you are finished stitching, you can either attach the canvas to the bag yourself with instructions on line or bring your bag in to us and we will have our finisher attach the canvas, and also line the bag with custom pockets.
Here are just a few of the designs:

Knitting News
Our Cha Cha classes were so much fun. Even people who had never knitted before were able to knit one of these ruffled scarves. One skein will make a scarf, but Cha Cha would be perfect trim for sweaters, shawls and scarves.cha cha
