Highest Yields | ETFs with the highest dividend yields
Historically about half of returns from the S&P500 have come from dividends, yet they don't get nearly the same amount of attention as price movements.
Exceptionally high yields can often be an indicator of trouble. In fact, we can't even calculate a meaningful ALTAR Score(TM)--our measure of an ETF's overall investment merit--for the two funds with the highest yields, since their constituents have lost more money than they made over the most recent business cycle. Other times, attractive yields serve as payment to investors to wait until fundamentals and stock prices improve. We think that is the case with this week's Fund Focus, the Claymore/S&P Global Dividend ETF (LVL). To download the full newsletter, click here.
