| Youth Investment Auction Seeking Community Support
Investing in our youth is one of the most important and rewarding contributions a community can make. The Y's Youth Investment program takes this to another level accepting teens with tainted backgrounds into our family to begin the revitalization effort. The silent auction will be held Nov. 10 at the Lincoln Center to raise funds for a program that saw 242 teens perform over 2,000 hours of community service last year.
Every year this program exists, radical transformations take place with our distressed youth. Participants often grow personally and socially developing a renewed understanding of work ethic, accountability, confidence and the realization that caring people want to help. All of these elements contribute to the 80% of teens who remain unattached from Juvenile Court after one year in our program.
With your gracious support through donations, we can ensure a thriving future for this valuable program. Please join us Nov. 10 for our Annual Youth Investment Silent Auction at the Lincoln Center. For more information about the program or the event, please contact Christine Brischle, Association Director of Teen Programs at 509.777.9622 ext 415 or cbrischle@ymcaspokane.org.
