SHOP & SUPPORT PROGRAMS
eScrip: We would like to revisit our eScrip program and make sure all of our families are participating. eScrip is registering your Safeway Club Card online and every time you make a purchase and swipe your club card a certain percentage is given back to the school. You can also register you debit and credit cards as well so that when you use them at participating merchants, like Sonoma Market, a percentage of your monthly purchases are donated back to the school. www.escrip.com. Group ID - 137107396
Scrip: New this year, Presentation will be encouraging families to participate in local "Scrip" programs. Scrip is an amazing way for our families to earn money for our school just by making your regular household purchases. When you go to the store, instead of using cash or your debit or credit card you use a prepaid shopping card. By simply planning ahead on everyday purchases like gas, groceries, entertainment and home repair you can earn back up to 18% for our school! We will be sending out a letter on how to sign up to order scrip. In the mean time you can preview all the merchants on glscrip.com. There are hundreds of participants like Safeway, Starbucks, Lucky, Whole Foods, CVS, Rite Aid, Shell, 76, Papa Murphy's, Costco, Target, and online retailers like Amazon too.
How about this: Buy Safeway Scrip cards to do your weekly grocery shopping and earn money back for the school (4%) and then swipe your club card and get eScip money for the school as well!
See's Candy is coming!!
Please remember to save your candy purchases to support our school! Our See's Candy Fundraising takes place two times a year - during the Winter and Spring Holidays. See's offers a wide assortment of their most popular candy items. These make great gifts for family, friends, business associates, teachers and neighbors. Please look for the flyers that will come home with your children during these two drives, and please save your purchases through Presentation to support our school. Every purchase counts!

COACH MISS AMY REPORTS ON THE START OF THE CROSS COUNTRY SEASON
WAY TO GO PATRIOTS!!! Last Tuesday was our first meet at Sonoma Country Day School and our team did an outstanding job!! Nerves were at a high for many being that it was their first time competing but with a few high fives and encouraging words they were quickly eased. Fifth graders ran a mile course and sixth-eighth graders ran an incredible 1.5 mile course. Both trails took them through the school's vineyard, alongside their garden and around their campus. With red faces our team ALL crossed the finish line to cheers from our parents and coaches. I couldn't be more proud of each of them for coming out and giving it their best effort. There were moments when the determination on their faces said it all as they were running -- they were NOT giving up.
Congratulations to Michaela Schillinger who won 1st place among all fifth girls graders competing and to Annie Neles who placed 2nd overall among the girls from all schools competing. Way to go!
Our next meet will be September 25th at Sonoma Academy. No practices this week as students will be running the mile during P.E. today, including Saturday.
Thank you to the parents that drove, Mrs. Robles, Mrs. Phillips, Mr. Bergmiller and Mr. Schillinger. Special kudos also to Mr. Smithson for picking up my slack as I'm still battling this cold.
Thanks again for your continued support of our team.

A LOVELY ANNIVERSARY MASS AND BBQ
Thank you for joining in our Anniversary celebration - what a wonderful way to honor our school. Special thanks to the Heritage Committee & Parent Association for their leadership and organization, to the Dads Club for preparing the tasty feast, and to the 7th grade families for making the event happen. Also, thank you to Dale and Erin Downing and Sonoma Market for our fantastic BBQ, Kevin Kress for supplying the beer, and all the school families who donated their special wines to our "wine cellar." And, of course, thank you to all our families and staff who joined in to make this a very special occasion.
Coming together to celebrate our history and our future only serves to continue to strengthen our community. We hope to see everyone at next month's Imagine event as well!
