The Presentation School is Proud to Present:
Sit a spell and enjoy interactive stories for children and cozy tales for adults from around the world and throughout time. Join us for an evening of Christmas tales on December 6th and 7th.
Presentation School Theatre Arts is excited to announce the winter production of
Selectedshorts (the Christmas edition)
'When Scrooge awoke, it was so dark, that looking out of bed, he could scarcely distinguish the transparent window from the opaque walls of his chamber." Thus begins the second chapter of the world's most famous Christmas story, "A Christmas Carol", by Charles Dickens.
Christmas stories are important tools for spreading Christmas cheer. Actually it is said that Charles Dickens' story, "A Christmas Carol", saved Christmas, as we know it today. When Charles Dickens wrote his story in the 18th century, the celebration of Christmas was in decline. But Dickens used his story to describe Christmas as a time of joy, a time when people respect each other, and a time when everything is all right. People liked to hear this story, and in the following years, happy Christmas stories became more and more popular together with the decorated Christmas tree, Christmas gifts, and the overall Christmas spirit.
The Presentation School will present an evening of Christmas spirit, with stories and songs from past and present and from around the world.
Auditions will be taking place next week in the library. If you have any questions or are interested in helping out please contact Lauren Miller at
lmiller@presentationschool.com.

PRESENTATION THANKS EARLY SUPPORTERS OF LIBRARY/MEDIA PHASE 1 CAMPAIGN AND LOOKS TOWARD THIS YEAR'S GOALS
Last spring, Presentation began the roll out Phase I of our much anticipated Library/Media Campaign. The overall plan has two phases. Phase I includes a comprehensive state-of-the-art overhaul of all our media and electronics used at school by our teacher and students. Phase II focuses on developing an exciting new book collection in our library. Early donors in Phase I raised their paddles at last spring's Golf Tournament to "Fund a Need" which directly resulted in the purchase and installation of the 10 new Macintosh computers now in use in our school's library and five Mac Pro laptops. Everyone at Presentation is grateful for this state-of-the-art equipment which is a boon to research and creative projects for our students and teachers alike.
In order to meet Presentation's media needs, we will continue to roll out Phase I of this Campaign. Our school's largest fundraiser, Imagine an Evening in the Wild, Wild West, will take place this year on Saturday, October 13. At this event, attendees will be asked to Fund A Need during the auction portion of the event. Fund A Need will go directly to the acquisition of the following remaining items for Phase I.
If you have any questions about our Library Campaign or would like to donate books or to the Campaign, please contact Nancy Fischman directly. We thank you for your continued support.
