We are pleased to inform the school community that more than 20 qualified candidates applied for the position of Head of School at Presentation, in advance of the August 1 deadline.

This week, the Search Committee (comprised of Mark Couchman, August Sebastiani, Kathleen Grieve, Jamil Harb, Joanna George and Vicki Carroll) will meet to review all of the candidates on paper. They will then narrow their list to 3-5 semi-finalists.

The week of Sept. 10 - 14, the semi-finalists will travel to Sonoma to spend the day at Presentation. They will meet with our administrative team; our Trustees and Nancy Fischman; with our students in the classroom; and with our faculty.  Most importantly, a large block of time has been set aside for the candidates to meet with our parent community. More specifics will be forthcoming but please plan to set aside 9:40am to 10:20am on Sept. 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 to meet the candidates in the library.  Parent will be provided with candidate resumes at that time.

In the day following each visit, every member of the school community who meets with the candidate will be invited to participate in a survey to share their specific impressions with the Search Committee.

In terms of next steps, shortly after the semi-finalists leave, the top two candidates will return to school in late September to spend another full day on campus, spending additional time with our students, faculty and the Search Committee and the Search Advisory Committee.  We expect to be able to announce Presentation's New Head of School  by mid-October.
