Crab Feed A Huge Success!
On Saturday night, Presentation School hosted its Second Annual Crab & Pasta Feed. The crowd of more than 200 diners from the school and community at large feasted on oysters, salad, bread, pasta and all anyone could possibly eat of fresh Dungeoness Crab. The Activity Center looked beautiful and the music by Rich Little, Scott DeMartini and Jeff Bundschu was a huge hit. (Check out a short video clip of their performance on the school's facebook page here.)
Major thanks go out to the dozens of volunteers who stepped forward to help out at the event, including the 8th grade parents and the fantastic committee Crab Feed Committee of Kathleen Grieve, Therese Nugent, Janel Owen, and Yalda Teranchi. Special thanks to Nancy Bei and the Development Office. And a huge shout out to Robert Raney, new parent and Crab Feed Chairperson Extraordinaire! |

All School Field Trip: Academy of Sciences
On January 10 the entire school community traveled to San Francisco for a day filled with fun science explorations. The fun began as we boarded 3 large yellow school buses for the journey into the city; for many of our students, this was the first time they had ever travelled on a school bus. Middle School students and their chaperones began their day attending a presentation in the Morrison Planetarium viewing the all-digital show "Life: A Cosmic Story" on the 75 foot diameter dome. Quite a trip through space!
All students had the opportunity to explore the rainforest, natural history museum and the aquarium. The albino alligator was a major "must see." Before returning to Sonoma, buddy students spent time exploring more of the hands-on exhibits.
As the buses pulled into school, tired but excited students, teachers and chaperones returned with memories and learning experiences that will last for years to come.

He has been quoted in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and U.S. News and World Report and has been a guest on NPR's "Morning Edition" with Susan Stamberg, "Talk of the Nation" with Ray Suarez and the Diane Rhem Show.
