Back to School Reminders!
Thursday, August 25th is the first day of school.
Students should gather in the courtyard to meet their teachers who will escort them to the classrooms. Students will be in class from 8:20 - 10:30. During this time, parents are invited to attend the first Parent Meeting of the year. A "Coffee and Conversation" reception will be held. Administration will present an overview of the school year. The Parent Association Executive Committee will discuss their initiatives for 2011-12. Parents will have the opportunity to sign up for many volunteer jobs and pick up the Family Handbook.
At 10:30, parents are invited to visit the classroom of their youngest child to meet the teacher and hear a brief overview of the school year. Students in grades K-3 will be in the Library during this time, and students in grades 4-8 will be on the playground. All students are dismissed at 11:00.
Friday, August 26th Please remember to pack a snack.
Sunday, August 28th is the Back to School Picnic! Hosted by grades 4 and 5, the picnic will be held on campus from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
August 29 - September 2 is the first full week of school. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 12:30; students in grades 1-8 are dismissed at 3:15. No hot lunches and no after care this week.
Kindergarten extended day, hot lunch program and after care begins on September 6th.

Back to school supply lists and summer assignments are available by grade on the school web site.
Tdap Vaccine: All middle school students must provide the office with proof of whooping cough vaccine prior to the first day of school (in accordance with new CA health regulations).
Water bottles: This year we will not be using plastic water bottles on campus. We have ordered "Presentation Water Bottles" which will be on sale the first day of school.
Parents of 7th & 8th graders interested in the SSAT prep course being offered at school on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in September should stop by school office before Sept. 1 to register. |
