The first type of seva is when you do not even know that you are doing seva. You do not recognize it as seva because it is your very nature - you cannot but do it!
The second type of seva is what you do because it is needed in that situation.
You do the third type of seva because it gives you joy.
The fourth type is done out of your desire for merit - you do seva expecting some benefit in the future.
And the fifth type is when you do seva just to show off, to improve your image and to gain social or political recognition. Such seva is simply exhausting, while the first type does not bring any tiredness at all!

To improve the quality of your seva, regardless of where you start, you must move up to higher levels of seva.

Vikram Hazra Concert

Thank You All !

The UAE experienced another memorable satsang on Dusshera with our beloved Vikram Hazra performing at the Regent International School (RIS). Anyone who was there could understand Vikram's uniqueness - jazz and world music, secular wisdom with a universal message, as well as relaxation and meditation techniques all woven together in the context of a rocking concert. Both Chiro (our Dubai based drummer) and Vikram floored us with their wonderful chemistry and stamina - going on non-stop for nearly 3 hours!

Our sincere thanks to the Mankhani family - patrons-in-chief of RIS for graciously hosting this wonderful evening and for so actively participating in it as well. It is no coincidence that their school's motto to Enlighten, Empower and Excel resounds so completely with what the satsang stood for! Our best wishes to Mr. Mankhani Senior who celebrated his 75th birthday eve the same day.

Thanks are also due to Dino of Melody House, Gold & Diamond Park for helping with the entire audio set-up which enhanced the experience once again for an AOL show in the UAE.

Finally, our vote of thanks to Tina Hazra for bringing Vikram to Dubai and we look forward to another 'family' reunion soon!
