 Tip 2  Reading with Cheez-Its

If you're teaching your kids not to play with their food, you can break the rule for these educational crackers!  Cheez- It has baked cracker letters to make learning the ABC's and reading words fun and tasty!  Pack them in a baggy for entertainment on road trips and restaurants.  Make your own crossword puzzle and start a Scrabble game for letters of fun!

Speaking of the alphabet, did you know that humming the ABC's in your head, while washing your hands, is the perfect amount of time to get the germs off?  Try it, then teach it to the kids when they are through eating their Scrabble words!  "abcdefg hijklomnop qrstuv wxyz  Now I've said my ABC's, next time won't you sing with me?"  Clean hands!
Tip 3   Preparing for the Future

Your children may be little tykes now, but time passes quickly and before you know it, they are in high school, college or trade school!  There are important habits to teach the minute they start school, so that they carry them into their later years.

College Tour!

Time management is paramount to becoming a good student and keeping up with homework.  Preferably, study time is the same time each day, so a routine is built.  After returning from school and having a healthy snack, is when our our son did his homework in grade school.  He earned his play time when homework was finished. Yay!  I can still remember the wise words my mother-in-law spoke when he was born.  "Remember, you're not raising a boy, you're raising a man."  Always keep the end in sight!
