Recycling Wheels from PNDesign
Greetings!

As you look for new ways of encouraging people to recycle more, why not get a quote for our Recycling Wheel device, personalised to your own requirements?

Our Recycling Wheels (shown below) are designed to make it easy for residents to work out where or how items can be recycled or otherwise disposed of, thus encouraging them to recycle more. They are proving to be very popular, helping to achieve recycling targets and generally raise awareness of the specific recycling opportunities in different areas.

Selection of Wheels

Cindy Gardener, Waste and Recycling Officer at London Borough of Hounslow commented:
"We find the recycling wheels from PNDesign are excellent to use at our road shows in supermarkets, where residents comment that they didn't realise so much could be recycled. The wheels are a good source of information in a small handout and are particularly popular in schools where the children take them home to their parents."

If you would like to see some samples of the wheels that we have produced for other areas, further information or a quote for a Recycling Wheel tailor-made to your own requirements, please contact me on 0115 922 0017 or reply to this email. You can also visit our website, www.recyclingwheels.co.uk for further information.

Kind regards

Read on below to find out why we think our Recycling Wheels are the best solution around.

> Experience

Wirral WheelIn the last few years we have produced wheels for over 20 different councils or local authorities, including Canterbury, The Wirral (shown here), Blyth Valley, Breckland, Preston, Coleraine, Broxtowe, Ceridigion (in English & Welsh), the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, the London Borough of Hounslow and most recently Hertsmere and Bridgend.

This probably makes us the leading provider of Recycling Wheels. But why are our wheels so popular with local authorities and the members of the public who use them?

> Simplicity is the Key
Though simple in construction, the design of our wheel has proved to be very flexible, allowing for unique variations for each wheel, not just with the branding, but also how the information is displayed. In addition to the common list of materials and a key showing how they can be recycled (and alternatives if they cannot), the design of our wheel is flexible enough to allow, for example, the list to be produced in English and Welsh (as in the case of Ceridigion or Bridgend) or to also list the different bring sites in the area and what each will accept (in the case of Canterbury or Hertsmere, who had the bring sites on one side of the wheel, with the list of items on the other).

Other innovations, such as numbering the different options (in addition to the usual coloured key, as in the case of Blyth Valley's wheel) have made the information easier to use for people who might have problems differentiating between different colours.

> Customisable Design
The design is totally customisable, incorporating your corporate logo and any other logos you wish to include, additional information such as telephone numbers, and even sample product photos (as in the case of North West Leicestershire). However your kerbside collection works, whether it be bins, bags or both, this can all be incorporated into the design. Not everywhere has green recycling bins - some are blue or black, for example - this can all be accounted for in our design without compromising the effectiveness of the product.

> Comprehensive List
The design of the wheels also allows you to list any number of different specific items, rather than having to use generic terms. This makes it easier to find the exact item you wish to recycle, and is preferable to generic catch-all terms which can still leave people in some doubt. For example, whilst most people would be aware that they can recycle a baked beans can, what about a petrol can? And is it a can or a tin? Far better to list the type of can or tin than leave people wondering, or making false assumptions.

We list the items in a logical alphabetical order, in a clockwise direction around the outer wheel - in this way it is the same as a normal list and can be easily read. The whole list, split equally over both sides of the wheel, can be quickly scanned to find the item in question. The user-friendly nature of the device means that it is unnecessary to explain how it works, with most people enjoying it's 'gadgety' nature.

> Cost-Effective & Durable
Made from quality materials, the Recycling Wheels are made to last several years, not just months. This makes them very cost-effective over the lifetime of the product compared to cheaper alternatives such as flyers and leaflets, which often get lost or discarded quite quickly, or worn and crumpled if referred to often.
