Can't Keep a Good Texan Down!
Let it be said that Texans are one tough group of people! In their, "Never Say Die", attitude, they rose above lots of distractions and obstacles to clinch 9th place at the LCM Nationals held in Omaha. Andy skipped his Friday events because his daughter was having dental surgery. Jane was concerned about her heart staying calm, so passed on the distance events. Susan had an allergic reaction that bombed her 100 Free. Henry and Graham gave themselves such a tough competition schedule, they had to drop out of one race each to get a little bit of rest. Gynt, dropped a knife on her foot, got DQ'd when she didn't keep her feet together in the 100 Fly because of the pain. She later was sent to the hospital because it became infected. Jim blacked out during the 200 Back, but his pace maker did it's job and jump started him back to life, waking him up under the water. He was fine, but off to the hospital to spend the night for follow-up tests. |
