Dear Friends,
I pray you had a blessed Thanksgiving! We were able to share the day with our parents, children and grandson.
It is hard to believe we have been home for a week already. The Lord accomplished much through each team member in Jesus de Otoro. Paul and I were able to lay the ground work for future distributions in Omoa.
All it takes is a little pebble dropped in the water to cause an effect that changes the whole pond. It is amazing how new or discarded walkers, canes, crutches or a wheelchair can do the same. This is my twelth year traveling to Honduras and just as the pebble changes the pond, disability ministry has changed the landscape of Jesus de Otoro, Honduras and surrounding towns. The first year we went there was an unpresedented number of people affected by disability and they lived in shame in back bedrooms.

Waiting for a wheelchair
Now there is ongoing ministry at the TTRM Jesus de Otoro center and therapy and school for those with disabilities is a weekly outreach, all year long. Thousands have heard the Gospel message, received Bibles and accepted Jesus as Savior.
And today you see ramps into churches and schools and people with wheelchairs, walkers, canes and crutches in the community.
Children with disabilities are now accepted in schools...in the areas we have served. One graduated in Otoro and is the first wheelchair user to graduate in this community.
Birthday Celebration in Taulabe
In the US people with disabilities of all ages have a birthday party. In the past in Honduras this has not been the case. A birthday was not a time of celebration but a time of sadness for those affected by disability. And many people with disabilities have never been to a party. We had a birthday party for those that received mobility equipment in Taulabe. Over 50 people joined us!
