Compost Worms, Raised Beds and Quesadillas - The CobraHead Newsletter
November 2009
Hello, Friends of CobraHead,

This month, we have more gardening and food related articles.  We try to keep our news useful, and we welcome any suggestions.  It you find this of value, please share it.

Working Worms
Compost WormsJust like in good garden soil, worms show up out of nowhere to help your composting efforts.  Here's an article about how we turn all our kitchen waste into beautiful and usable compost - with the help of a lot of working worms.(Read More)

Fall Gardening and Raised Beds
Bean SeedlingRaised beds have proven themselves to be  an ideal way to grow a lot of food in a very small space.  The method that Geoff and Noel use does not involve building frames or boxes or bringing in outside soil and amendments.  The garden is dug right into the lawn and uses dirt paths to separate the beds.  Geoff talks about his system and how he learned it.(Read more)
Savory Sweet Potato Quesadillas

It is the mission of CobraHead to help people grow their own food and to provide exceptional products and services to all gardeners.  We try hard to "walk the walk" when it comes to issues of sustainability and in deciding what is best for ourselves and the environment as we grow our little company.  We've chosen to make our tools locally, here in Wisconsin, and we think that bigger is not necessarily better.  Gardening might just be earth's great hope, and in any case it's a great hobby.
Thank you,
Noel, Judy, Geoff and Anneliese

We had an excellent response to last month's  newsletter.  Thanks to all who took the time to send us a note and to those who shared our newsletter with others.   We are trying to impart useful information, things that we know work for us in our garden and kitchen.

Our little company is dedicated to helping all people garden and to making gardening easier.  We promote community and urban gardening, gardening education projects, and helping people grow their own food.

If you like our newsletter and our products or if you have some suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.

If you have gardening friends or if you know potential gardeners who might be interested in CobraHead and what we have to say about gardening and eating, please forward this newsletter to them.
