Looking around Baby Boot Camp classes in February you would think that Spring has already sprung!  We kickstarted the national Mother Love Fitness Challenge!  You ladies got off to such an amazing start that we had not one, but two national winners!
 
Congratulations to:
 
  • Erin Inan for taking first place in the jump squat category with an average of 414.5 jump squats!  Incredible!
  • Jillian Simms for taking second place averaging 295.75 jump squats!
 
February was the "strength" month of our fitness challenge.  You jump squatted, planked, and push up'ed your way through the month.  Each week your numbers shattered your previous week.  The numbers were absolutely explosive!
 
Overall, our team improved our strength by 199%.  
 
We increased our jump squats by 424%, our push ups by 124%, and our plank by 50%.  All your hard work is reflected in those numbers and in your shrinking waist lines! 
 
Now that March is upon us, it is more important to stay focused, work harder, and to realize your goals!  It can be done and I will be with you every step of the way! You can do this! You ARE doing it! 
 
We also added another great park to our schedule in February!  We launched the Tuesday/Thursday 4PM class at Mitchell Park! It is a 22 acre park and a great place to work up a sweat!  Come on out for your first class free!
 
While February was packed full of fun, March is on its way to be even better!

What an incredible month ladies!  You worked so hard and your efforts paid off!  
 
As a team, we improved:
Jump Squats:  424%
Push Ups:  124%
Plank time: 50%
 
As a team, we improved by 199%!  Incredible!  During the first week, the challenge seemed so daunting.  Yet, once each of you saw that higher numbers were achievable, you simply exploded.  Each week saw you getting stronger and for some of you.....a lot feistier!!!!! 
 
  
Each week you shattered your previous records!   I was rendered speechless as I watched your numbers explode.  As you know, I am normally not at a loss for words!  In the final week, I saw you all take it to a new level doing 300...400...850...and 1100 jump squats.  Simply awesome!
 
Now that the dust has settled from your amazing efforts  and I have regained my voice, I would like to announce our winners in the "strength" component.

Jenny's Light is a non-profit foundation created to improve and save lives by increasing awareness of all perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression.


Jenny's Light was founded by Local Professional Triathlete Becky Lavelle and her family in response to the tragic and untimely passing of her twin sister Jenny and her nephew in December 2007.
