Happy New Year everyone!  It still seems odd to say "2010." Yet, a new year brings new opportunities.  It's a fresh start to complete projects left idle, set personal and family goals, and strive to be the absolute best that you can be. 

I am so excited about this year!  We have the Baby Food Nutrition Night Out this month.  Following that, we will be kick-starting a three month long fitness challenge!  Let's all find our inner athlete and get ready to grab 2010 by the horns!  Are you ready?  Bring it on!

Baby Food 101  Night Out -
 Wednesday, January 20, 2010        5:30PM

Nutrition for Growing Infants

In this workshop, you will learn:
- Organic vs. non organic foods & dairy products
- Signs of readiness for solid foods
- What types of food to introduce first
- Ranking of the worst and cleanest produce
- The top 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables
- How you can decrease pesticide exposure by 90%
- Some healthy snack choices

This will be a "hands-on" class. We will be cooking our own baby food and sampling our products in the gourmet kitchen at the Whole Foods in Mountain View.

All materials will be provided.
You will also receive a goody bag with products for you and your baby! 
The
re is a $10 fee for this workshop that is paid to Petite Village.  This includes all materials and wonderful goody bags.

Baby Boot Camp


Mother Love Fitness Challenge  2010

Join in the three month long fitness challenge and compete for local and national prizes!

Registration:  Jan. 1-15
Challenge duration:  February - April 2010

This three month long fitness challenge will focus on a different fitness component each month.

February = Strong Love
Goal: Increase strength

March = Flexible Love
Goal: Stretch to increase flexibility

April = Cardio Love
Goal:  Increase distance and endurance

Everyone can participate!  Homework will be given for those unable to come to class regularly.  Exercises are modified for prenatal moms.  This is also a great way for those moms returning to full time work outside of the home to remain focused and motivated!

You will be given monthly fitness tracking sheets where you can earn points for working out on your own as well as in class. 

Each month we will submit our team averages with a team photo to compete for national prizes!  We will also have a friendly local competition with the other Bay Area Baby Boot Camps.

Come to as many classes as possible at Stanford or Redwood City
  (8 classes per week currently offered).
