The effective student is able to manage the demands of his academic environment.  She has command of the critical academic skills and can self-regulate the necessary behaviors to succeed in school.  The key word here is "effective".  Sometimes students just aren't effective in assessing the academic preparation required to be successful.  That's where we can help.
