Join us for an evening of Wine, Music and Appetizers Fundraiser for North Village Library

|
Save the Date Fundraiser for the library August 31st (Tuesday) from 6 - 8 pm Water2Wine located at 3300 Anderson Ln.
For those of you who have not seen this place - it is in the shopping center near the tracks at Anderson and Shoal Creek. It is located between the Drum Shop and Alborz Persian Cuisine.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for next year's subscriptions and periodicals for the library. As with many city amenities, their budget always seems to be on the chopping block and they need us to help them maintain the variety of materials that are important to their users. If you have never been inside this little winery right here in our own neighborhood, you are in for a treat. See video for store tour below. Their staff is fun, down to earth and knowledgable. You can taste anything that is for sale in the store, and I will assure you that you will go away with a 'favorite' wine that you can always get right here in the neighborhood, year round. They make it fun to buy wine! We will be entertained by Ryan Vorstad who began playing guitar at age 7 in the Childbloom Guitar Program with local teacher Slobodan Vujisic. He won fourth prize at the Guitar Foundation of America's International
Older Youth competition in San Francisco in 2008, as well as numerous top prizes in national competitions. He was awarded Outstanding Performer four consecutive years at UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble competition. A 2010 Westwood High School (RRISD) graduate, he will be attending Stanford University in September, where he will study math or engineering and continue classical guitar studies. $10 will get you a wine tasting of wines from around the world. Anything above that $10 will be donated to the library. Make your check for the donation out to the North Village Branch Library and notate on the check "for the local branch" so that our neighbor and Head Librarian, Katherine Kanarski, can use it locally here. Your cancelled check will serve as a receipt for your donation. There will be some great conversation, I guarantee you will meet interesting people you will like and there are some great appetizers planned to knosh on. If you do not drink alcohol there will be some sparkling water on hand for you as well. Plenty of vegan and dairy free appetizers as well as carnivore fare.Come and be a part of our evening! It's for a good cause that benefits our area neighborhoodHope to see you there!
