Is it Really This Simple?
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Live the life you've imagined.
Thoreau
What a wonderful directive! It sounds so easy...
Go Confidently...
Live the life... Could it really be this simple?
Maybe it is this simple...if it is my dream, my heart's desire... So often people aspire to live someone else's dream; perhaps, it is what the culture delineates as a dream, or what a parent, spouse, or friend has defined. Sometimes the dream is what one imagines others to want.
When we aspire to attain a dream that is founded from an external place, it is very difficult to go confidently as it can feel a bit wobbly. When we live the life defined by someone else, it can also feel as if we are being fake or fraudulent. In fact, it may feel this way because it is not authentic to who we are. Feeling fake or fraudulent may be a wonderful clue that the dream may not be ours, not from an internal source of knowing.
This internal knowing requires us to slow down and listen to the quiet whisper of the soul. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer reminds us that "Every aspect of nature, without exception, has intention built into it...the acorn never turns into a pumpkin, or the apple blossom into an orange." We each have a purpose and the quite voice of our dreams lead us in the direction of this intention.
If you desire to to receive support and guidance in hearing your quite voice, I invite you to join us here at CUP; participate in a yoga class, attend a workshop or make an appointment with one of our practitioners. If you aspire to offer your business services from a Center that is designed to support the following of one's dream and to fulfill a purpose in the world, please call Kari Paul, Facility Coordinator, for more information.

I look forward to seeing you at CUP!
Warmly,
Amy L. West, Director
