Dr. Blount Presented with Don Bloch Award

 

PHILADELPHIA, PA - In October, Dr. Blount was presented with the prestigious Don Bloch Award at the Collaborative Family Health Care Association (CFHA) annual conference in Philadelphia. Don Bloch, M.D. is an innovator in the field of family health care, the originator of the journal that became the current Families, Systems and Health , and a founder of CFHA (www.cfha.net).  Don was one of the driving forces behind the collaborative care movement and each year the award bearing his name is given to an outstanding leader in our field. This year the honor was bestowed on our own Sandy Blount in recognition of his great contribution to promoting integrated primary care through innovative approaches to treatment, cutting-edge training programs and advocacy.
