Greetings!

A properly fitted out yacht is ship shape and in Bristol Fashion.  This workshop will give you some of the fundamentals to bring your yacht to this state, not that which you see in this photo. This is your invitation to a knot tying, whipping and splicing workshop at the Community Boat Shop Saturday, May 15th from 10AM to 2PM. Come join us and refine your ability to properly secure your watercraft.

Your Skipper,

Ray Hartjen

Just in time for spring fitting out, our skipper Ray will head up a class on these important rope techniques as you get ready for a summer of fun on the water. The class will take place at the Community Boat Shop Saturday, May 15th from 10AM to 2PM. The Society will provide the lines for each of the exercises. If you have painters or mooring lines that you need to have properly prepared for the upcoming season, bring them along. If you are diligent, you will return with each properly prepared for summer usage. This is a free workshop.

The sequence for this workshop:

10AM - 12Noon       Knot tying followed by whipping rope ends
12Noon - 12:30PM  Break for lunch
12:30PM - 2PM       Splicing

Please call ahead to make reservations for this workshop at 631-324-2490. If too many apply we will plan for a repeat so that all who have a need will be accommodated.
Please bring lunch if you wish.

Your Skipper,
