Upcoming Events 2009

Louse Point Boat Meet, Springs, NY . . . Sunday, August 2nd 10 AM to 4 PM

Once again we will be gathering on Louse Point at Accabonac Harbor (Louse Point road in Springs, NY) on the first Sunday in August, for what has become an annual affair. This year we will have available more boats than ever for you to try your hand at rowing, paddling and sailing. Plan on bringing food and a small boat to share, and of course your bathing suit and suntan lotion. We plan to have the town parking restrictions removed for this moment by the sea as we did last year.

Fisherman's Fair, Springs, NY . . . Saturday, August 8th 10AM to 4 PM

We are delighted to be able to bring to the Springs community a display of this year's raffle boat, the Swampscott dory, one of our newly built kayaks and our beautiful replica of a Herreshoff Columbia dinghy. Plan to stop by our display and purchase your chance to win the dory, this year's featured boat. Or, stay for an hour or so to help encourage other fair visitor
Montauk displays to become members in our expanding group of classic boat enthusiasts.

HarborFest in Sag Harbor, NY . . . Friday, September 11th through Sunday, September 13th

HarborFest is our primary display event of the year. Join us to spend a few hours helping to sell raffle tickets or enticing HarborFest visitors to join our ranks. We have an ideal location on Long Wharf, the village dock, where almost everyone who visits the festival comes by to admire the craftsmanship of the classic boats we'll have on display.

Maritime Festival in Greenport, NY . . . Friday, September 18th through Sunday, September 20th

This will be our second year at the Greenport festival.  Pat Mundus, who now resides in Greenport, is working with the event directors.  She has secured an ideal location for our display of classic boats. We will be in Mitchell Park, which is on the waterfront where the popular antique carousel is located. We will need your support there also in terms of time at our display selling raffle tickets and encouraging people to join our organization.

Annual Holiday Dinner Party at the Community Boat Shop, Amagansett, NY . . . Saturday, December 19th, 6:30PM to 10PM

In late fall you will receive an invitation to our annual holiday dinner party. We will be raffling off the Swampscott dory at the party!
