Shalom Congregants and Friends.....

Rabbi's Ramblings......

Last Shabbat saw a most enjoyable Congregational Shabbat dinner and Religious School graduation service. Congratulations to our graduates, Donovan Barros and Jason White, who gave very nice talks thanking their teachers over the years and promising to continue their Jewish education and involvement.
Shavuot starts this evening. Do try to attend our 4th annual Tikkun L'ayl Shavuot, with services at 7pm (promptly - try to come a few minutes early); followed by a dairy dinner and then study sessions lead by Rabbis Landau, Lefkowitz and myself. The entire Shavuot worship service schedule is also included below.
The office will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. It will reopen Friday as we get ready for Shabbat and catch up in general. Friday evening will be our annual Sisterhood Shabbat. It will be a truly special service. Saturday morning will be regular services with a special guest, Hannah Aitken, granddaughter of Barbara and Herb Kaplan, talking about recent experiences in Belize. We will have the treat of "Saturday Sundaes" at Mincha.
Next week I will be away, attending the annual Rabbinical Assembly Convention on Sunday through Wednesday. Please God,  I will be back in the office Thursday to prepare for the Shabbat of Memorial Day weekend!

Hag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom....look forward to coming to shul and being with your "synagogue family" here at Beth Hillel Synagogue!

Synagogue Bulletin Board

There is a new bulletin board by the door to the rabbi's office. Take a look when you're in the building to read notices of community events and contemporary news articles! And there are also good handouts on the racks by both the chapel and sanctuary.....

 Traveling in the weeks ahead?????
Ask Rabbi Atkins for "shaliach kesef" - messenger money - along with a prayer for a safe journey, it will "guarantee" you a safe trip.
