Just like many of you, we are currently without power.  My sincere apologies for not getting the October issue of the newsletter out to you all. My plan is to send an early November issue including both our October articles and November articles.

I truly hope that you and your families are warm and that this newsletter finds you all in good spirits despite the challenges that many of us face across the state.

This weekend is our third annual Bells of Hope weekend promoting adoption awareness among faith communities in CT.  Due to the unprecedented loss of power after Storm Alfred, we have not heard from many past participants.  Please take a moment to help us by checking with your faith community to see if they will be among the many faith communities offering up prayer for the children we serve.  You can help us by letting us know if your faith community plans to participate and is missing from our listing.  Click here to view the Bells of Hope website and current participants.

There are a number of services being offered in honor of CT's waiting children. Check the Bells website or email me for further details. Of particular note, Church on the Rock in New Haven is planning a community-wide event. The public is also welcome.
The evening's service will also include

-Commissioner Katz, Commissioner of DCF
-Ken Mysogland, Director of Office of Foster Care and Adoption
-Gary Doyens (husband of Jocelyn Maminta, News Channel 8 Reporter) will give testimonial about his experience as a foster child.
