FAM
Best Buddies Friendship Walk
Greetings!

On October 17, 2009, FAM will be joining hundreds of CT residents in supporting the Best Buddies program.  Why, you may ask?  Well, all of the foster care and adoption community collaboratives in partnership with DCF decided that because the Best Buddies programs support many of our kids and individuals that support Best Buddies might make good foster families, we are supporting their efforts to raise awareness of CT's special needs population by joining this walk.

This is a great opportunity for foster and adoptive families to do something together to positively impact the community.  You can choose a one mile walk or 3 mile - family's choice!  And families walking with FAM will get a special hat to commemorate the event.

Join our team or donate today and support the 2009 Best Buddies CT Friendship Walk and make a difference in the life of a person with an intellectual disability! And consider forwarding this newsletter to friends and family asking them to support such a worthy cause!

Sincerely,

Deb Kelleher
Coordinator

Bells of Hope

Please join us on November 1, as we kick off our National Adoption Month celebrations with  candlelight vigils while church bells ring for children who need permanent homes.
Foster and adoptive families are needed to spearhead or volunteer for this event in their local communities.  Please contact FAM if you can help by contacting your religious institution about ringing their bells to publicize the need for more good homes for our kids!

Call our coordinator, Deb Kelleher, at 203-706-0101 or email us to volunteer.  Our email address is: fam_coordinator@yahoo.com
