Forthcoming Interfaith activities:
Confronting Islamophobia
Do you have questions about Islam and the role of Muslims in our world today? Do you hear or read disturbing statements about Muslims and wonder if they are true? Do you feel a need to be more informed so that you can respond effectively to people whose attitudes are driven by fear or prejudice?
The Interfaith Action team is planning a number of events for the coming year around the theme of Confronting Islamophobia. Watch for a movie night with our friends from the IMAN Muslim community, an evening with a prominent author of books on Islam, Christianity and Judaism, and other programs as they come into focus during the fall, winter and spring of 2011-2012. Join in occasional small-group visits to IMAN for Friday-evening prayer services. Be informed about other events in the Seattle area. Read articles and commentaries on current topics of concern.
If you're interested in staying abreast of what's going on in our interfaith activities, please get in touch with David Paul (206-522-1309 or [email protected]). We'll add you to our e-mail list and let you know what's happening. There are a few names on that list now, and we'd love to see it grow. |
