About Daniel Gehrs Wines
Daniel Gehrs Wines was founded by Daniel and Robin Gehrs in 1990 in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The winery was re-located to the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County in 1993. Grapes for Daniel Gehrs Wines are purchased and are sourced from Central Coast appellations and growers with whom Dan has had, in many cases, decades long relationships. With a tasting room housed in a century-old cottage in the wine-mecca town of Los Olivos and production facilities in nearby Buellton the winery's current production is about 14,000 cases a year and growing. Cabernet Sauvignon, our most popular wine, comprises about one-third of our total production. Daniel Gehrs Wines enjoys limited national distribution in several major markets
