Meet the Team
Mary O'Connor - Underwriting Technical Assistant
Mary was born in Pasadena, CA and raised in Santa Clarita. She has one brother, Nick, who is a Registered Nurse, and one sister, Katie, who is a pre-school teacher. Their parents, Michael and Kathleen, are both nurses. Mary's mom just retired after 40 years of nursing. As a child Mary enjoyed playing basketball and says she ruled Double Dutch on the playground!
After graduating from high school, Mary attended College of the Canyons and earned her Associates degree in Social Science. Then she transferred to Fresno State where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta, which is a national Sociology Honor Society. Upon graduating, Mary moved back to Santa Clarita. She began her insurance career when she joined PGIA in July of this year.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys traveling on the weekends, hiking and going to the beach. While she says she's not very good, she is in a bowling league and is having lots of fun at their weekly games. Of her time here at PGIA, Mary says "Slowly, but surely insurance is becoming a big part of my learning experience. There is no where I would rather be than PGIA.... Good company, good environment, and good people."
