Tasha Gonzales - Field Underwriter

Tasha, a nickname for Natasha, was born in Santa Barbara, CA and grew up in Goleta, CA which is about 10 minutes north of Santa Barbara. She has one younger brother, Isaiah, who is an Assistant Manager for the Gap.  Her father, Carlos, is a bus driver for the local transit system and her mother, Mona, is a retired librarian. Growing up, Tasha was very athletic playing soccer, basketball and tennis. 

Tasha graduated from UC San Diego in 2001 with a degree in History.  She says she fell into the insurance world by accident.  After graduating from UCSD, she applied for a job at an insurance agency that a friend told her about. Then while working as an Account Manager, she was asked by one of her underwriters if she had an interest to work on the company side.   She decided it would be an interesting adventure and began her underwriting career with Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies (BHHC) in 2006.  Tasha joined PGIA when BHHC merged under the same leadership as National Indemnity Company (NICO) in April 2010.

In her free time, Tasha enjoys reading, running, going to the gym and spending time with her husband, Henry, and their families.  Her husband works at Allergan Medical as a Graphic Artist/Labeling Specialist. Currently they have no children, but are looking forward to starting a family in the next year or two.   "Working at PGIA has been a great learning experience, which is one of the reasons why I stayed in insurance.  Every day is different and you're always learning something new."
