MEET OUR TEAM
Shannon Arteaga - Office Supervisor/Underwriting Assistant
Shannon Arteaga was born and raised in Ridgecrest, CA. She comes from a large family having 7 brothers and sisters. Her mom Laurie is a classroom assistant for the learning impaired and her step dad Ralph works for Boeing. As a child Shannon enjoyed camping, swimming and being outdoors with friends (Ridgecrest has an annual average temperature of 75 degrees and is very hot in the summer with a daily average of 110 degrees). Shannon is married to Santiago and they live in Santa Clarita, CA. Their children, Rudy, Darion, Jasmin and Kai, all attend school in Santa Clarita and the youngest, Isabella, is 17 months old. She is looking forward to Rudy graduating from high school at the end of this school year. Shannon's large family keeps her pretty busy so free time is rare. When she does have free time she likes to read, shop and bake. She also volunteers with several local organizations. Shannon started at Pacific Gateway 8 years ago as the receptionist. Over the years she was promoted to her current position as an Underwriting Assistant and office supervisor and reports to Cal Landess. As the Underwriting Assistant for Mark Thorne's team, some of her duties include processing binders, endorsements, surplus lines filings and assisting with the workers comp submissions. Other than Cal she has been with the agency the longest. Shannon says "I enjoy the challenges and the learning experiences that my position offers and look forward to many more years with the company." |
