MEET OUR TEAM

Amanda Johnson - Marketing Coordinator

Amanda was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Her family moved to California when she was five and have been here ever since. Amanda's father Barbarosa (named after a pirate) is a general contractor and owns his own contracting business. Her mother Virginia is an officer for the State of California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Amanda has a younger brother named Brandon who lives in Atlanta, Georgia and also works in law enforcement. As a child, Amanda enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing tennis, camping and visiting her extended family in Louisiana.

Amanda went to Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. She participated in their study abroad program and completed one of her semesters in Heidelberg, Germany. Amanda graduated from Pepperdine with a B.S. in Mathematics. In her senior year she interned for an actuarial firm and was offered a full time position upon graduation. In 2005, Amanda joined the staff of Pacific Gateway Insurance as an underwriter. As Pacific Gateway expanded its marketing efforts, a new position was created and Amanda became the marketing coordinator.

Amanda's favorite past time is traveling abroad. She has traveled to 21 countries on 3 continents. Her goal is to visit every continent at least once. Her other pastimes include reading, playing tennis, spending time with friends & family and fine dining.

Amanda feels that this is a great position for her. "I really enjoy the creative side of this job such as writing the newsletter and working on new marketing projects and promotions.  The agency visits are fun too; especially when visiting a producer that you have had a phone/e-mail relationship with. It is really nice to put a face to the name of someone you have worked with for so long."
