Our newsletters will introduce these new opportunities and highlight our carrier's proven auto and garage products.

We may be in your area in the near future! Find out more in our "Upcoming Events" section. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

MEET OUR TEAM
Mark Thorne - Underwriter
Mark was born in Bristol, England and moved to Los Angles with his family as a toddler. As a child he enjoyed family trips back to England as well as art and music. Mark's twin brother Paul and his father David work together developing and manufacturing plastic products. His younger brother, also named David, is a film producer. His mother Tina is retired. Mark started his insurance career at Commercial Union in 1994 working his way up the ranks to a senior underwriter position and team leader. He was responsible for middle-market package accounts. Due to mergers and acquisitions, Commercial Union became CGU, then OneBeacon and finally Golden Eagle (Liberty Mutual). During this time Mark received his AMIM designation as well as his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He was conferred in 2001 in Seattle, WA. Mark started at Pacific Gateway Insurance Agency in February of 2003. Mark plays bass in his rock band called Yesterday's Child. He enjoys playing live shows as well as working on other music projects in his home studio. He still has his childhood loves - traveling and graphic arts. He is also a fan of trivia and keeping up with current events which is a big help when he is playing on a trivia team at his local pub. Mark lives in North Hollywood with his wife Cheryl who is a middle school teacher in South LA. Mark says, "I underwrite GL, Property and Package coverage as well as Auto and Garage for our office. I feel fortunate to work for such a good company and with a really nice group of people. Although I am known for sticking to old fashion insurance fundamentals in my approach, I also have a keen interest in technology and how we can utilize the latest advances to streamline functions to benefit our business."
Rock on, Mark! |
