New Minitab Control Charts
|
Organizations may choose to make rare events even more rare. Reasons for this vary, but may include, for example:
- In some industries the consequences of failure carry an extremely high cost, making the ROI for reducing rare events attractive. Examples include health care, aerospace, safety, etc..
- As organizations improve the low-hanging fruit disappears and organizations can begin to address problems that occur less frequently.
While some people advocate the exclusive use of I-charts (process behavior charts,) there are situations where another tool would do a better job. The problem was that these new tools were difficult to create and explain to non-experts. Until now. Minitab's new control charts for rare events make it as easy to create and use the proper charts for rare events as an I-chart. This webinar will discuss G and T Control Charts for rare events. Popular in healthcare but with many applications in other industries, G and T Charts are the solution when you have data representing the time or number of parts between failures and certain other highly-skewed distributions. The webinar will include: * An overview of the charts * Examples of using the charts * "How to" create the charts in Minitab * When the charts are appropriate * The opportunity for questions and discussion |
