Greetings!

"Delight in the little things." Rudyard Kipling

That is the purpose of the joy letter - to remind you to delight in the little things. The happy moments of life are in the right here, right now. We have to train ourselves to simply notice.

We get caught up in the Somedays, Whens, and Yesterdays. Cherish the good memories, let go of the guilt and/or pain of the not-good memories, and breathe in the Now. Certainly, make a plan and dream for Tomorrow, be specific and create your reality. And again, breathe in the Now.

As I review past Joy letters, I smile at the items I list in my Sprinkles of Joy. I enjoy reading your contributions. Thank you for your joy spreading.

The first JOY ezine was September 2008. Three years later, we've come a long way, baby. I've grown tremendously these past years; I hope you have too.

Thank you for your readership, your feedback, your financial donations. Thank you for the enthusiasm. Thank you for the drops of love we are putting out into the world.

I encourage you all to send in one line for the little book we will be publishing this winter, "Sprinkles of Joy". I want one sprinkle from all of you. It can be anything.

Many of you hold back thinking you need to be profound. Need I remind you to re-read some of my joy sprinkles?! Trash bags that don't rip. Brings me joy.

Maybe you like that perfectly ripe banana. Maybe you smile when a worm wiggles across your palm. Maybe you appreciate a cold beer on a hot sunny day.

One sprinkle. What's yours?

Rosie's Birthday Club is a nonprofit organization that hosts birthday parties and provides cake and a birthday gift for kids who otherwise would not receive anything at all on their birthday.

To raise funds and awareness, Rosie's is throwing a bash! Local celebs are paired up with cake decorators in a show of creativity! Elaborate child-themed cakes are decorated as you watch! You then get to vote and bid on the glorious creations!

I don't know what artisan baker I am paired with, but I do know - our cake is gonna rock!
Come join the fun!
There will be a food buffet, drinks, entertainment, surprises, and FUN! And you  are helping out a really great cause.

Color Wheel "JOY A.D."

JOY A.D. (After Divorce)

Yes, it is possible to have joy after the pain and emotions of divorce. Whether you have been unmarried twenty years, two years, recently divorced or in the process, (or contemplating it now), this workshop is a place to start the true deep healing.

Fear of the unknown future. Guilt. Anger. Loss of self-esteem. Confusion. Highs and lows. Numbness. Fatigue. Anxiety. Depression. "I'm not as good at being alone as I thought I would be". It's all normal.

If you are ready to let go of that and reach out for something more, join us in a safe, healing, confidential environment. You absolutely deserve to be happy. You absolutely deserve to be healed.

JOY A.D. is about honoring your mind, your body, and your spirit (no religious affiliation). You can learn to take the reins of your own happiness, one day at a time. Some days, one minute at a time.

Facilitator Kelly Epperson, founder of Happiness Club of Loves Park, divorced after twenty years of marriage, believes that when we feel lost and empty and alone is when we find our true selves. Life is a journey and for some us, divorce is part of the evolution of who we were meant to be. Painful as it may be, it is the beginning of a blossoming.

If you are ready to bloom, join this healing workshop. You absolutely deserve to feel fully alive. You absolutely deserve to know JOY A.D.

Workshop includes presentation, discussion, handouts, take-home materials, private and confidential sharing with likeminded women, and of course, chocolate.

You will go home with techniques to use when the blues and doubts seem overwhelming. Let this one evening be a jumpstart to your joy.
