Greetings!

**BOOM!** That's the crash of fireworks, in case you were wondering. Happy Independence Day weekend to all of you in the states and Happy July to everyone.

Time for a mid-year check. How's it going for you? The "it" being you. Are you feeling good? Are you doing the things you want to do? Are you spending time with the people you want to enjoy? Are you feeding your soul?

This month of July, make the effort to do one little thing you promised yourself that you would do when the new year kicked in.

Did you want to read more? Attend more events? Go for a walk more often? Sleep more? Connect with old friends? Meet new people? Have more quiet time? Watch "Gone With the Wind"?

When we turn the page to January 1 and stare at a new year, we think of all things we want to do a little bit differently, or make more time for, or let go of. Now that we turn the page to July 1, re-focus again. Are you doing any of the things you had wished for yourself? Why not? What could help you get there?

Words to Ponder:
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

"I have never been a millionaire. But I have enjoyed a great meal, a crackling fire, a glorious sunset, a walk with a friend, a hug from a child, a cup of soup, a kiss behind the ear. There are plenty of life's tiny delights for all of us."

PARTING SHOT:

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." ~Erma Bombeck
