When you read this, I'll be in Orlando at the AATH Annual Conference. The theme is Humor, Health, and Happiness. I will return with lots of great info to share. I also have the privilege of presenting a workshop. I am a lucky girl! (How is your luck "experiment" going?)

Today also marks the 17th anniversary of my son Andrew's birth. My premie 5-pounder is now 6'2' (plus three more inches for his standup hair), and his size 13 shoe is bigger than he was when he entered the world.

I will spare you the long story, but I picked the name Andrew because it means strong. And that he is. He is strong of character, of conviction, and of course can beat me at arm wrestling.

Every mom thinks their kids are special, and I'm no exception. Andrew is a self-motivated excellent student and equally important, has a huge heart. From his first grade teacher telling me "That boy would give me his kidney if I asked him" to parents telling me "My son says Andrew is the nicest boy in the whole school" to even now in high school when they chant "Eppy" at basketball games and I overhear "Everybody loves Eppy," my heart overflows.

The year we lived in France was a challenge at first for my boys at the International School of Toulouse. They stuck it out, did very well, and made some wonderful friends. Andrew also ended up with the most merits (for grades, attitude, behavior, etc) of the entire student body.

The boy (young man) can navigate any airport or metro station in Europe, can make homemade cinnamon rolls, and can usually see the sunny side of any situation.  He cannot, however, manage to pick up his bedroom or put laundry away.

He has a gaggle of great friends and all the girls love Eppy's bear hugs. He is a compassionate teddy bear and I love his hugs too. Wherever his path takes him, I know he will be more than fine. He will always be my baby, and always be a blessing. Happy Birthday Eppy. I love you.

"There's no fool like an old fool"
I always loved April Fools day as a kid!  All the pranks both given and received - Such fun!  Kelly you are a true inspiration!  You have given me back to myself.... somewhere along the way I lost the "FUN" in me.  Well now I think it's been almost a year since I started receiving the JOY weekly letter in my email!  I LOVE being me again!  I forgot how really fun I am!  Thank you!!! :)

SAGE ADVICE

"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power."
- Margaret Stortz

  YIPPEE!

I will be the emcee for the Womanspace Spring Luncheon on Saturday, April 16. It is my honor and privilege. Please join us!

Best selling author Joan Anderson, A Year By The Sea, is the guest speaker. She is absolutely wonderful, you will not be disappointed. Proceeds from this luncheon support all the programs at Womanspace. If you have not visited Womanspace, I invite you to check out all they offer. (The name happened in the 70s; don't be misled, men are welcome too.) The grounds, gardens, and labyrinth are beautiful and open to the public too. (The Poet of My Heart and I will marry at the labyrinth....)

Ticket reservations for the luncheon are due April 8:
