My second book, 365 Days of Joy, was originally going to be a page a day thing. Then it morphed. It has chapters. Light, easy reading, but not a page a day thing.
I recently bought Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude. JOY reader Teena Miller of California wrote the entry for December 3.
It got me thinking. The book project for this year is a collection of my joy droppings, but now I want you in on it. Having your joy droppings too will make for a more fun, interesting little book. And you will get to see your name in print. Some people dig that. What really matters is your words and your heart, but it will be really cool to show friends and family your page in the Joy Droppings book.
For those of you who have been keeping a journal of your joy droppings, send in what you want to share. For those of you who have not started jotting them down, now is the time. When you write something - silly or serious, sweet or meaty, laughter or tears - that particularly moves you and you want to share, send to me.
I will keep a compilation and we will publish at year end. Sound like a plan? Sound like a joy dropping in itself? Does to me. Thanks for being a part of my joy.

My brother ("Heart Attack at 50") thanks you for the well wishes. He is doing super and has a great attitude. He corrected me; his cholesterol is not high, but the ratio of good to bad is bad, or something like that. The good is low and needs to get higher; I think. To look at him, you would never in a million years guess that he just had 3 stents put it. He looks great. |

I meet the coolest people. I love people who are doing what they love. I love people who help me look my best, for special events and for every day life. I have had the pleasure of being fixed up by Julie Gulbrandsen of Spa Contouz; of Allure Salon & Spa; Anna Nunally of Studio 316, and now Kathy Copeland and Nikki of Iro Custom Cosmetics. Nikki created a lipstick color for me - it is so fun to watch, like chemistry and cooking combined, I wished I would have brought Flip video. The color shades to mix, added sparkle, an aroma, a silky texture.... they make it right there and you try it on each step of the way to get exactly what you like. We named mine "Joy" - how original. If you want the same Joy lipstick, go to Iro, or have them make your own personal lipstick. (Iro is a Japanese word for color. Iro, 3600 E. State, Rockford.)
