Friday.Joy Letter Day.

Thanks for everything these past few days. The Good Mood Blogger contest is a blessing - it lets me talk to you whenever I want. ;)

And letting you know about my son is a blessing too. That kid is something else. Both my sons are. I'm a lucky mama.

I plan to present Tyler with his "Ball Bag" Thursday night before Friday morning surgery - a choice of prosthetic balls: bouncy ball, golf ball, cheese ball, Magic 8 Ball, mixed nuts, xmas jingle bell balls, etc. (There is a company that sells dog prosthetic balls - neuticals.com - they are too pricey for a gag gift.) I think we'll take his ball bag to the hospital and let the docs make a pick. Of course I plan sticky notes for my son's body too.  

His attitude has helped his friends and teachers (and grandparents). I stand back and marvel at him. 18 years old, losing a testicle,  and he reports: "Everyone I told, I made them laugh. It feels good."

My son is an extraordinary young man; and he's got the ball to prove it.
