M-I-C! See ya real soon, K-E-Y! Why? Because we like you!
I do like you. I like Walt Disney too.
Going to Anaheim, the original Disneyland, has me with a serious case of Walt-on-the-brain. No rides or autographs with Mickey; my purpose is the AATH conference. Very fitting. Walt Disney knew the therapeutic benefits of humor, fun, and play.
Walt has said, " Mickey Mouse popped out of my mind onto a drawing pad 20 years ago on a train ride from Manhattan to Hollywood at a time when business fortunes of my brother Roy and myself were at lowest ebb and disaster seemed right around the corner."
Imagination. Perseverance. Taking a chance. Belief in your dreams. Confidence.
Also from Walt: "Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C's. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably."
What is your dream? Apply the 4 C's and let me know what happens.
Words to Ponder~
Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money.

Poetry is good for the soul |
this is kinda sorta poetry...
"There once was a very cautious man, Who never laughed or cried, He never cared, he never dared, He never dreamed or tried. And when one day he passed away, His insurance was denied. For since he never really lived, They claimed he never died."

Word Nerd |
disport \dis-PORT\, intransitive verb:
1. To amuse oneself in light or lively manner; to frolic.
transitive verb: 1.To divert or amuse. 2.To display.
Disport derives from Old French desporter, "to divert," from des-, "apart" (from Latin dis-) + porter, "to carry" (from Latin portare) -- hence to disport is at root "to carry apart, or away" (from business or seriousness).
Let us frolic and disport the day away! |
