Hello All!

How are ya?
Some of you have the February funk. Perk up. It's midwinter, which means hey, we're halfway through. (You just felt the urge to chuck a mean snowball at me, didn't you?) Well, I'm gonna go out on a limb and promise that you'll get through it. It's a short month AND it's the month to indulge in chocolate and wine, whether you have anyone to call your Valentine or not.  If you're still feeling a little blue, embrace it. Paint your toenails bright sparkly blue. I can testify that it improved my mood 100%.

Joy

What brings me joy lately?

* Um, chocolate and red wine.

* Scintillating conversations.

* My bed. 'Nuff said.

* Movies, movies, movies.

* Teenage boys who make me laugh out loud; those that call me Mom, and those that call me Mrs. Epperson (and Mrs. Eppy).

* Ibuprofen.

* Friends pursuing their goals and dreams and hearts' desires.

Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it...It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for.

Inquiring Minds
The question was:
Gas fireplace or wood burning?

Not much feedback from you. The crackle of wood was beaten out by the no-mess ease of gas.

This week, inquiring minds want to know:
TV in the bedroom - yes or no
Did you know...

Zane Grey, the dude who wrote all those Westerns, started out as a dentist and only wrote in his spare time. AND he was born in Zanesville, Ohio. (1/31/1872)
(Thanks, Writer's Almanac, for the nuggets of fun.)

 Of course life is bizarre: the more bizarre it gets, the more interesting it is. The only way to approach it is to make yourself popcorn and enjoy the show.

 Resolve  (verb)

Pronunciation:  [ree-'zalv]

Definition: (1) To firmly commit oneself, as to resolve to quit smoking; (2) to end a conflict or other difficulty, as to resolve marital problems; (3) to reduce to elementary constituents, as to resolve an argument into its distinct claims; (4) to reach a firm decision, as Congress resolved to make April Fool's Day a national holiday.

Usage: Today's word may be used as a verb or a noun. As a noun it means "commitment, firm intent," e.g. He undertook the new job with great resolve.

Suggested Usage: No, it isn't too late to commit yourself to a specific achievement or set of them this year. We most commonly resolve to improve ourselves or our lives in the coming year on January: to reduce our weight, give up smoking, get a better job or do better on the one we have, etc. You can resolve to make yourself better every day!

Dr. Language, YourDictionary.com

I resolve to believe in myself this year; I resolve to believe in you too, always.

Glad we got that resolved.
