Greetings & Salutations!
Hope your 2010 is off to a rip-roarin' start or a peaceful new beginning, whichever you prefer.

It's a new year, a new decade, and new/renewed commitment to living your life with an open heart and an open mind - open to possibilities and taking chances.

We can't predict the future exactly, but we can have a hand in creating it. Are you excited?

Words to Ponder~

They know enough who know how to learn.
~Henry Adams

Lyrics to love
I've lived a life that's full

I traveled each and every highway

And more, much more than this, I did it my way.

"My Way" - songwriters Anka, Revaux, Thibaut, Francois

I Never Knew: This was a French song and Paul Anka took the tune and rewrote lyrics in English (not a translation of the original) and created a song that has become an icon of American culture.

"Imagine what our real neighborhoods would be like if each of us offered, as a matter of course, just one kind word to another person. Sometimes, all it takes is one kind word to nourish another person. Think of the ripple effect that can be created when we nourish someone. One kind empathetic word has a wonderful way of turning into many."

Word Nerd
 Mendacious  (adjective)

Pronunciation:  [men-'dey-shs]

Definition: A Latinate form for "lying" or "untruthful."

Usage: It would be impolite or downright rude to call someone a "lying crook," but the Latinate equivalent "mendacious offender" could soften the effect. While "mendacious" is an adjective, it has nominal counterpart mendacity "untruthfulness."

Suggested Usage: If you want to impress the person you are calling a fraud, you might say, "You are so charming in your mendacity that no one really minds," or "You are so charming that no one really minds your mendacious fairy-tales."

FYI, Joy Spreaders, I would never be mendacious with you.
