Friday the 13th.
Cool. Tonight I'm gonna rent Friday the 13th Part 12. NOT. I saw the first Jason movie a gazillion years ago. I don't need to see any more. Watching movies that bring me down or waste my time is not a good use of my energy. We need to pay attention to what gives us energy and what drains us. Big choices, little choices, it all adds up.
I may not be an optimist by nature, but I can practice it every day.
Words to ponder:
No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.
~Helen Keller

For Giggles... |
I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. They always say, "Because it's such a beautiful animal." There you go. I think my mother is attractive, but I have photographs of her. ~Ellen DeGeneres

Words to Live By... |
It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth - and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up - that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Lyrics to love... |
I've been trying to get down to the heart of the matter But my will gets weak and my thoughts seem to scatter But I think it's about forgiveness Forgiveness
"The Heart of the Matter" ~ Don Henley
EnJOYed the legendary Henley immensely (THANK YOU IANDOLA!) this past Monday night in Chicago. The man at 62 still has it goin on and can hit the high notes. AND someone in the crowd had a real lighter! Flick the bic! Take that, cell phone generation.
